The true, strong, and sound mind is the mind that can embrace equally great things and small.

REFLECTION
Range is what marks a sound mind: the ability to hold a large question and a small detail with the same seriousness. Most people specialise in one and grow contemptuous of the other. The big-picture person cannot be bothered with the invoice; the meticulous person cannot lift their eyes to ask whether the whole thing is worth doing. Both failures look like rigour from inside.
Work out which way you tilt, then borrow the other for one task this week. If you live in detail, spend an hour on why the project exists. If you live in strategy, do the small piece yourself and see what it teaches you.
When did you last give a small thing your full care?
