STILLNESS
You are standing between people who are gone and people who are not here yet. What you have was built largely by the first group, most of whom you cannot name, and what you build will be used by the second, who will not know yours either. Holding both in mind at once tends to make present arguments look smaller and present duties look larger.
Do one thing this week in each direction. Ask an older relative something you have never asked and write the answer down. Then take one action with a payoff beyond your own use of it, a tree, a repair, a record left in order.
What did you inherit that you intend to pass on?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
