The block of granite, which was an obstacle in the pathway of the weak, becomes a stepping stone in the pathway of the strong.

RESILIENCE
The same obstruction stops one person and lifts another, depending on what they try to do with it. Most effort goes into removing what is in the way, and occasionally the thing will not move and turns out to be usable exactly where it sits: the constraint that forces a better design, the refusal that sends you somewhere better. This is not true of everything, and plenty of obstacles are simply damage.
With whatever is currently blocking you, ask once whether it can be stood on rather than cleared. If it cannot, stop spending yourself on it and go around. Knowing which of the two you are facing saves more than persistence does.
Which obstacle became the very thing that carried you forward?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
