Bronze is the mirror of the form; wine, of the heart.

A mirror shows the outside; a few drinks show what is underneath. Whatever a person has been holding in place all day comes loose when the guard drops, which is why the affectionate become more affectionate, the resentful start settling scores, and the sad stop managing it. Nothing new is created by the loosening; it was all in there already.

Notice what comes out of you when your guard is down, and treat it as information rather than as an aberration. If it is resentment, deal with the resentment while sober. That is the only place it can actually be handled.
