One route being closed says something about that route and nothing about whether you can get there. Someone who only knows the road has one option. Someone who understands the terrain has many, and the difference is a matter of how much attention was paid before the closure.

When an obvious path shuts, spend time understanding the landscape rather than waiting for it to reopen. Alternatives usually exist and are only visible to whoever bothers to look.
