Thought is the blossom; language the bud; action the fruit behind it.

— Ralph Waldo Emerson

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Three stages of one process, and only the last of them feeds anybody. Thinking and talking are both necessary and both feel like accomplishment, which is why so many people stall there and mistake the pleasure of articulation for a result. Fruit takes longer and looks less impressive along the way, and it is the only stage anyone else can eat.

Take an idea you have now explained several times and move it one stage along this week, into something that exists outside your conversation about it.
