An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Unused ideas feel valuable because nothing has tested them yet. In your head a plan stays elegant, free of the compromises and small failures that come with building it, and that untouched perfection can become a reason never to start. Once an idea meets the world it gets smaller and messier, and also real enough to help somebody. The rough version that exists does more than the polished one that does not.

Pick the idea you have been carrying longest and give it one physical form this week: a sketch, a phone call, a first page. Let it be worse than you imagined, since that is the price of it existing at all.
