It is never too late to be what you might have been.

— George Eliot

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Regret likes to announce that the moment has passed for good. Some specific doors do close with time, and pretending otherwise is unkind to anyone who has lost one. But the person you might have been is rarely tied to a single door. The curiosity, courage or gentleness that version of you would have had can still be grown, in a different setting and at a different age than you once imagined.

Name a path you believe you missed. Then ask what quality in that path drew you, and look for one small way to live that quality now, starting this month.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What version of yourself do you assume the door closed on?
