The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Direction is often looked for somewhere far away: a dramatic sign, a distant ideal, the perfect teacher, the day everything finally becomes clear. The suggestion is that the path runs much closer, through what you actually care about and how you treat people from one day to the next. Whatever you hold about larger things, the working guidance for how to live shows up in your own responses.

When you feel lost, pause the search for an answer from outside. Ask what you would do if you trusted your own sense of what is kind and true. Take the next step on that basis, and see whether the way grows clearer.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Where have you searched outside yourself for an answer you already carry?
