A capable person carries solutions nobody can see from the outside.

Capability is invisible until a situation calls for it. Someone who has it walks through the same rooms as everyone else carrying options nobody can see, and only the right problem reveals the difference. This is why competence often goes unrecognized until it is urgently needed.

Keep building even when nobody notices, and do not read the absence of recognition as evidence that the work is not accumulating. It is being stored rather than displayed.
