The skilled person sees choices where the beginner sees one difficult wall.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
In front of a hard problem, the beginner sees a single wall because they only know one route. The person with experience sees the same situation as a set of trade offs, because they have several routes in mind and can compare them. Nothing about the problem changed. What changed is the number of doors visible to the person looking at it, and that number is built by practice rather than by attitude.
When you feel stuck with no options, treat that feeling as a report on your current repertoire rather than on reality. Ask someone further along what they see, or go learn one more approach to the kind of problem in front of you. The relief usually comes from discovering a second option, not from forcing the first one harder.
