Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his twin brother.

RESILIENCE
Doubt feels isolating. In the middle of it, you seem cut off from any certainty and alone with your questions, unable to see that the trust you are missing grew from the same root. Both doubt and trust come from caring about what is true. Seen that way, doubt is less the opposite of faith than its close relation.
If you are wrestling with doubt, about a belief, a relationship or yourself, it may help to see it as a sign of how much the question matters. You do not have to resolve it quickly. Let it keep company with whatever trust you still have.
What do you do with doubt when it visits at night?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
