Endurance is the crowning quality, And patience all the passion of great hearts.

— James Russell Lowell

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Staying with something is less visible than starting it and much harder to sustain. What looks from outside like calm is often intense feeling held in a long shape rather than spent quickly, which is why waiting well is not the same as not caring. The strongest attachments show up as continued presence rather than as declaration.

Where you are tempted to quit, ask whether the problem is the thing itself or the absence of a visible result this month. Those need different responses. Give the first an honest answer and give the second more time.
