A scholar who cherishes the love of comfort is not fit to be deemed a scholar.

GRATITUDE
Comfort and honest inquiry pull in opposite directions. Real learning requires sitting with confusion, being wrong in front of people, and following a question into territory where your existing views do not help, none of which is pleasant. Anyone who arranges their study so that it never disturbs them has arranged something else and given it the same name.
Check what happens when you meet an idea that unsettles you. If the reflex is to find the flaw and move on, you may be defending rather than thinking. Stay with the uncomfortable one for a week before deciding, and notice whether the discomfort was information.
Which comfort keeps you from the harder work you respect?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
