Every person born into this world their work is born with them.

RESILIENCE
There is something each person is suited to, and it arrives with them rather than being assigned later. Whether or not you take that literally, it is a useful stance, because it turns the question from what should I do into what is already here waiting to be recognised. The search becomes noticing rather than inventing.
Look backwards for the evidence. What were you doing when nobody was making you, at nine years old, at twenty, in the hours nobody paid for? The answer is rarely a job title, and it usually names a kind of activity that has been in you the whole time.
What work feels like it was waiting for you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
