RESILIENCE
Missing resources make a convenient explanation because they are outside you and easy to point at. Often what actually ran out first was drive: the willingness to keep making calls, keep revising, keep going once the initial enthusiasm burned off. Money can be raised in more ways than people assume, while energy has to be generated locally.
Sometimes the money really is the wall, and pretending otherwise is its own trap. Still, before concluding that, ask what you would attempt this month if funding were never coming. The answer usually contains two or three things you have been postponing for reasons that were never financial.
Which of your projects stalled from tiredness rather than money?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
