Build capacity before demanding outcomes that require it.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Demanding results that require capacity you have not built produces frustration rather than performance. The gap is not one of effort or attitude but of ability, and no amount of pressure will close it in the short term. Building the capacity first is slower and it is the only route that actually reaches the outcome.

When you keep falling short despite genuine effort, ask what you would need to be able to do to succeed. Then work on that for a period without expecting results. The outcome tends to arrive on its own once the underlying ability is there.
