Difficulty becomes relative when capability changes.

CREATIVITY
The same task is easy or hard depending entirely on who is doing it, which means difficulty is not a property of the thing. What feels overwhelming now will be routine to a more capable version of you, and nothing about the task will have changed. This is obvious in the abstract and surprisingly easy to forget when you are struggling.
When something feels too hard, add the words for now. Then ask what capability would make it manageable and start there. The difficulty is a statement about the current gap rather than about the task itself.
What feels hard now that will not feel hard later?
