A library implies an act of faith.

CREATIVITY
Collecting books, or keeping anything for later, is a bet that there will be a later. Someone gathers more than they can read on the assumption that a reader will come, that the questions in those pages will still matter to somebody. The same quiet confidence sits under planting a tree or teaching a child something slow.
Consider what you are keeping and for whom. If it is only accumulation, let some of it go without guilt. If it is a genuine bet on the future, act like it: open one of those books this week, or give one to the person you were secretly keeping it for.
What have you saved to read for a self you haven’t become?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
