Faith is permitting ourselves to be seized by the things we do not see.

— Martin Luther

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

What moves you most is rarely what you can point at. The pull toward a person, the sense that work matters before anyone says so, the feeling that something is worth doing: none of it holds up as evidence. What you have instead is permission. You let yourself be gripped by what you cannot verify, and then you find out.

Notice one thing you have been waiting to feel sure about. Ask whether certainty is even available there, or whether its absence has become a comfortable place to stand. Then make one small move as though the unseen thing were real.

What have you committed to without proof it would work?
