Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world.

RESILIENCE
Very little is lost to actual defeat. Far more is lost in the space before the attempt, where the thing is thought about, rehearsed, postponed, and quietly dropped. Fear rarely announces that it has won; it just makes the delay feel sensible. The losses stay invisible because nothing visible ever happened.
None of that is a reason to be hard on yourself, since fear is doing what fear does. But pick one thing you have been circling and shorten the distance between thinking and doing it: send the message, make the call, sign up. Let the attempt be small enough that fear has nothing large to work with.
Has hesitation cost you more than any failure has?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
