Let’s have faith that right makes might; and in that faith let us, to the end, dare to do our duty as we understand it.

— Abraham Lincoln

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Trusting that what is right will eventually carry its own force is a choice, not an observation. It gets made precisely when the evidence is thin, because the alternative is measuring every decision by who currently has the power to win. Harder still is acting on your own honest reading of what you owe, without waiting to be certain you have read it correctly.

Pick the thing you have been putting off because you cannot prove it will work. Ask yourself what you would do if being right were enough. Do that much this week, and let the result be what it will be.
