Decisiveness gives teams something uncertainty cannot: alignment.
LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP
Groups can absorb a wrong direction far better than no direction. When nothing is settled, everyone plans around a different guess, work conflicts, and the friction consumes more than the mistake would have. What a decision provides, beyond its own merits, is a shared reference point.
If you lead anything, notice where people are waiting on you and how much that waiting costs. Make the call, say it plainly, and explain what would change it. Even a decision others disagree with lets them act coherently.
Who is waiting on a decision only you can make?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
