RESILIENCE
Choosing someone because you love them offers no guarantees, and everyone involved knows it. The safer calculations, comfort and standing and convenience, are easier to defend to other people and go wrong just as often. What love has going for it is that it is not pretending to be something else. An honest risk is a different animal from a careless one, and it is usually the one you can live beside.
Look at a choice you are weighing and ask which version of it you would have to explain away later. Prefer the one you could say plainly to anyone.
Which honest choice of yours looked reckless to everyone else?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
