A decision should become harder to revisit once new action depends on it.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Decisions gain weight as things get built on them. Once other work, other people, and other commitments depend on a choice, revisiting it costs far more than it did on day one, and the bar for reopening should rise accordingly. Treating a load-bearing decision as still provisional creates instability everywhere downstream.
Notice which of your choices now have things resting on them, and raise your own threshold for reconsidering those. Save your openness for decisions that are still light. Stability is not stubbornness when other people are building on your word.
