The greatest mistake you can make in life is continually fearing that you’ll make one.

— Elbert Hubbard

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Fear of error is itself expensive, and it charges you whether or not the error ever arrives. It shows up as delay, as hedging, as choices kept small enough that nothing much can go wrong and nothing much can happen either. Most mistakes are recoverable within a season. A life spent avoiding all of them is not recoverable in the same way.

Think of a decision you have been circling. Ask what the worst realistic outcome is and whether you could live through it. If you could, decide, and let the result teach you instead of the worry.
