The seat of knowledge is in the head; of wisdom, in the heart. We are sure to judge wrong, if we do not feel right.

REFLECTION
Knowing the facts of a situation and knowing what it asks of you are different capacities. You can be entirely right about the details and still arrive somewhere cruel, because judgment runs on what you care about as much as on what you know. When your feeling toward a person has gone cold, your reasoning about them quietly bends to match. The error looks like logic from the inside.
Before your next hard call about someone, check your affection for them first. If it has thinned, name that, then decide. The facts will read differently once you do.
Where did being right still leave you treating someone badly?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
