What do we live for, if not to make life less difficult for each other?

GRATITUDE
Most of what gives a life weight turns out to be the load you took off someone else. Not grand rescues, mostly: the message answered, the thing carried, the awkwardness absorbed so another person did not have to feel it. That kind of help rarely gets recorded anywhere, which is part of why it is easy to undervalue while you are busy with things that do get recorded.
Think of one person whose week is heavier than yours right now and remove one small weight from it without being asked. Do not make it a project. The smallness is the point, since it can happen today.
Whose week could you make lighter without much effort?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
