Your score on the retake doesn’t come with an asterisk. Nobody asks which attempt it was.

Outcomes get recorded and the number of tries it took usually does not. The license, the qualification, the score; the document states what you achieved rather than how many attempts came before it. People carry shame about second attempts that nobody else is even aware of. The shame stays private while the result goes public.

If you can take something again, take it again and take it seriously. Prepare specifically for the parts that went wrong instead of restudying everything evenly. Then let the result be the result.
