Nobody wins a championship alone. Say the names of the people who got you there.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Individual results are always assembled out of other people’s work, most of it done where nobody could see. The coach who stayed late, the parent driving at six in the morning, the teammate who made you better in practice; none of that appears in the result. Naming them is not modesty, it is accuracy. It also tends to keep those people around.

Say the names out loud rather than thinking them. In the message, in the speech, in the ordinary conversation afterward. Specific beats general, so name what they actually did.
