Nobody’s going to guess that you want it. Say it out loud to the person who can give it to you.

LEADERSHIP
People are not tracking your ambitions, and hinting is invisible from outside. Working hard in silence and hoping to be noticed puts the decision entirely in somebody else’s hands, and they are busy with their own concerns. Asking directly feels presumptuous and is mostly just clear. Plenty of opportunities go to whoever raised a hand rather than to whoever deserved it most.
Name what you want to the one person who can actually approve it. Be specific about what you are asking for and why you are ready. The worst realistic outcome is a no that tells you what is missing.
Who needs to hear that you want this, out loud?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
