If someone made a difference in your life, tell them this week. Don’t save it for a speech.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Gratitude has a habit of waiting for an occasion that never arrives. People save the big thank you for a graduation toast or a wedding, and the person spends years not knowing. Spread across those years, the words would have done far more than they ever do packed into one speech. Nothing about the feeling requires a stage or a microphone.

Pick one person this week: a coach, a cousin, the teacher who did not give up on you in ninth grade. Send four sentences, or say it in the car with the engine still running. Awkward for thirty seconds, remembered for much longer.
