Skaters practice falling on purpose so falling stops being scary. Get good at the landing.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Fear of failing is often just fear of the unrehearsed moment when it happens. Practicing the fall means the worst case stops being a blank, and a known bad outcome is far less frightening than an unknown one. It works the same way a fire drill does: the fire is no less real, but the response has become automatic.
Rehearse the failure of whatever you are attempting. What you would say if the answer is no, what you would do if the project flops. Run it once out loud, then go do the thing with your hands free.
How could you practice failing safely before it really counts?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
