Writing in public means people can disagree with you. It also means they can find you.

Putting your thinking where anybody can see it means accepting that some of them will disagree, sometimes rudely, sometimes in front of people you know. It also means the right person can find you: the one looking for exactly what you think about, who would never have come across you otherwise. Both of those arrive through the same door.

Publish something small and see who turns up. A post, a review, an explanation of something you understand well. Decide in advance which comments you will take seriously, and let the rest be weather.
