Trapeze artists practice with a net for years. Building a safety net isn’t cowardice; it’s how you learn the tricks.

RESILIENCE
Nets exist so people can practice the hard trick more often, not because the performers doubt themselves. Savings, a place to stay, a job you could return to: each one buys more attempts, and more attempts is how anybody gets good at anything. Refusing the net usually means you get exactly one try.
Build the small version before the leap. A few months of costs, one person who would take you in, a skill that pays. Then take bigger swings than you otherwise would, because the net is what makes the swing affordable.
What net would let you practice the harder version safely?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
