Legacy sounds like something built at scale, when in practice it is made of moments other people happened to see. Somebody watches you tell the truth in a meeting, stand next to a person being mocked, or keep going after a bad result, and that image stays in them for years. Nobody ever tells you which Wednesday it was.

Stop saving your integrity for a big occasion that may not come. Do the honest small thing on an ordinary weekday, in front of whoever is there. That is the only version anyone actually inherits from you.
