Some ideas take years to be ready. Keep the folder. You’ll open it at the right time.

CREATIVITY
Some ideas are not bad, they are early. You lack the skill, or the right collaborator, or the life experience that will eventually make sense of them, and forcing it now produces a weak version of something that could have been good. Shelving is not quitting. It is recognizing that the idea and you are on different timelines.
Make a folder for the ones you are not ready for and put them there instead of deleting them. Look through it every few months. You will know the moment one of them stops feeling out of reach, and that feeling is worth waiting for.
What idea are you saving until you can do it justice?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
