If your work is truly original, some people will hate it. Nobody argues about beige wallpaper.

Strong reactions come in pairs. Work specific enough for some people to love is automatically specific enough for others to bounce off, and those are the same property seen from opposite sides. Bland work escapes criticism because there is nothing in it to take a position on. If yours has never irritated anybody, it is worth checking whether it has actually said anything.

Read the negative responses once for information and then stop. Ask whether the complaint is about the thing being badly made or about it not being for them. The second kind is not a problem to fix.
