Don’t treat every idea like it’s fragile. The good ones survive being poked.

Protecting an idea from questions usually means protecting yourself from finding something out about it. Real ones hold up. They get sharper when somebody asks what it is for, or why anyone would care, because the answer either exists or the gap becomes obvious while you can still fix it. Treating everything you think of as delicate keeps you from ever testing anything.
Take your current idea to the most direct person you know and ask them to poke holes in it. Write down the questions you could not answer. Those are not attacks, they are the work you have left to do.
Which idea do you defend instead of letting people test?
