Don’t flatten your accent in your art. The way your people talk is part of the music.

CREATIVITY
The way you and your people speak carries rhythm, timing and word choices nobody else has access to. Smoothing it out to sound neutral usually just means sounding like everybody else, and the specific music of where you are from is the part that would have made a stranger look up. Neutral is not more professional. It is only quieter.
Leave one phrase in the next thing you write exactly as you would say it at home. Do not explain it or soften it. If somebody needs a translation, let them ask.
Where have you smoothed out how your people actually talk?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
