Do not wait until you are beyond criticism; that point does not exist.

There is no level of quality that ends criticism. Better work attracts different criticism and often more of it, so waiting to be beyond reproach is waiting for a state that has never existed for anyone. The threshold you are working toward is imaginary.

Replace the standard of being uncriticizable with something achievable: is this good enough to be useful, is it honest, did I do the work. Ship on that basis. The criticism arrives either way, so it may as well arrive about something that exists.
