Real leaders pray for the people who’d never vote for them.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Leadership stops being about popularity the moment you start caring for people who will never be on your side. Praying for someone who is against you quietly removes them from the enemy category, and you cannot hold contempt and intercession in the same hand. It also changes you more than it changes them, at least at first.

Pick one person this week who is not in your corner and pray for them by name. Not that they come round to your view, just that things go well for them. Then watch how you speak about them when they are not there.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Who could you pray for that dislikes you?
