Ordinary days are gifts that forgot to wear wrapping paper.

GRATITUDE
Nothing marks the good ordinary day while it is happening. It arrives with no announcement, gets used up on school and food and a conversation on the way home, and only later turns out to be one you would want back. Most of a life is made of the unwrapped kind.
Pick out one unremarkable thing from today and thank God for it specifically. The walk, the food, somebody being normal with you. Doing that regularly is how an ordinary day gets noticed while you are still in it.
What made your day good without announcing itself to you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
