Read the Bible slowly. It was never meant to be speed-run.

Reading fast is a skill built for getting through material, and it works against you in the Bible. A few verses turned over slowly will do more than three chapters covered at speed, because the point is not coverage. Slow reading is what gives a line room to say something back.

Take a short passage tomorrow and stay with it for ten minutes rather than moving on. Read it twice, and stop at the word that catches. Write down the one question it leaves you with. There is no schedule you are behind on.
