Complaining is prayer pointed in the wrong direction.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Complaining and prayer run on the same fuel. Both begin with noticing something is wrong and wanting it different. The difference is aim. One goes sideways into a group chat or a car ride where it gets repeated and sharpened and never resolved, and one goes to God, where it can finally be set down.

Catch yourself mid-sentence on the third retelling of the same grievance this week. You do not have to swallow it or pretend you are fine about it. Try saying those exact words to God first, and see what is actually left to say to everyone else.
