Your first job is a classroom. God can teach you humility with a name tag and a mop.

A job that pays badly and impresses nobody teaches things no class will. How to be on time when you do not feel like it, how to stay decent with a rude customer, how to finish work nobody inspects. Humility is not humiliation, and God seems willing to teach it through a mop and a name tag rather than anything dramatic. It travels into everything you do later.
Take one part of your shift you have been doing resentfully and do it well on purpose. Learn a coworker’s name and one true thing about them. See whether the work feels different once you stop waiting to be somewhere better.
What has your worst job taught you that school couldn’t?
