Keep your promises even when it costs you. It’s the most God-like thing a person can do.

A promise only means anything on the day it turns expensive. Anyone can keep a commitment that stays convenient, and most people quietly renegotiate the moment a better offer appears or the mood changes. Being someone whose word holds regardless is rare enough that people can build around you. It is also the clearest picture of how God treats His own commitments.
Look at what you already agreed to this week and are quietly hoping falls through. Go do it. If you truly cannot, tell the person yourself, early, in your own words, rather than letting it die in a chat.
Which promise of yours got expensive after you made it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
