Arguing someone into faith rarely works. Loving them into curiosity usually does.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Winning an argument about faith usually produces a quieter person, not a changed one. Nobody gets talked out of an entire framework by a better point, especially not in a thread. What moves people is being treated well over a long stretch by someone whose life does not quite add up without an explanation. Curiosity comes before agreement every time.

Drop the urge to correct somebody this week. Ask a real question about what they think and let the answer stand without a rebuttal. Then be consistently decent to them for longer than feels productive.
