Other people form an opinion of you early and then mostly stop updating it. Family decides you are the sporty one or the quiet one, school writes it down, and after a while the description starts to feel like a rule instead of a guess somebody made years ago. It was only ever a guess. Nobody making it had access to what you would find interesting at twenty.

Follow whatever you are curious about, even if it does not match the file. No justification is owed to anyone. Surprising people who had you sorted is a good feeling.
