Getting fired from a job isn’t getting fired from your future.

Losing a job is a specific event with a specific scope, and the mind immediately inflates it into a statement about your whole working life. Being let go often says more about budgets, a bad fit or somebody else’s decision than about what you can do. It hurts, and it can be frightening when money is tight. It is still one door rather than the building.

Give it a couple of days before drawing conclusions about yourself. Then ask what the job taught you and what you want next. Tell somebody, since this one gets heavier carried alone.
